You’re not broken.
But you are running Loops you didn’t choose.
They’re subtle.
They’re persistent.
They’re mostly invisible—until you pause and start paying attention.
The Problem
Most of us live in a kind of low-level trance.
Our nervous system is in overdrive.
Our mind is full of recycled thoughts.
Our habits, reactions, even our “goals” are often automated responses to fear, expectation, or distraction.
We chase productivity but feel exhausted.
We meditate but can’t sit still.
We crave clarity but can’t quite find the signal through the noise.
And underneath all of it, there’s a whisper:
There’s something deeper in me that’s not being lived.
The Spark
That whisper?
That’s what I call The Spark.
It’s our hero in this story.
The part of you that knows who you really are and what you’re capable of.
Not in a mystical, life-purpose kind of way (though … that too).
In a grounded, embodied, awake kind of way.
The Spark is your creative life force.
It’s your deeper intelligence.
It’s what makes you feel alive when you’re not stuck in Loops.
The Monarch
Enter the villain (sort of): The Monarch.
This is your ego—our ego, really.
The Monarch was once a trusted protector of your Spark.
It was a guide to express your unique qualities to the world.
But somewhere along the way, it got scared.
Traumatized.
It began to hoard power.
It built walls.
It brought in The Loop Keeper to control your thoughts and your attention.
All just to keep it … er, you … safe.
It was once just the ego.
Your guide and protector.
But now it rules your life instead of serving it.
This is why you are always focused on all of your problems, all of the time.
The Monarch isn’t bad, per se.
It’s just afraid.
And it kinda likes its power.
But when The Monarch is finally restored to its rightful role,
The Spark is free to move, create, and express.
That’s Joy.
That’s what we’re really after.
The Loop & The Loop Keeper
The Monarch stays in power through The Loop.
Specifically, what I call
TEARs: Thought → Emotion → Action → Reward
Pronounced like tear, as in a rip or rupture—because these patterns pull us away from our deeper self.
They’re also tears—the kind we shed when we feel stuck, unseen, or lost in a life we didn’t quite choose… further from our spark.
The Loop Keeper is the master of thought.
It’s wily and seductive.
Any way to get your attention to your problems
To keep The Monarch in power.
Each Loop is a layer between you and The Spark.
Most of us live inside the same Loops—reliving the same TEARs, day after day…
Until we pause, observe, and disrupt them.
The Drop
The Drop is everything.
It’s your escape from fear.
You unhook from The Loop.
Stop believing the thought.
Drop into awareness.
See things clearly.
It’s not about fighting the story.
It’s about letting go of the story’s grip on you.
In that moment, even if just for a breath,
The Monarch loosens its grip.
The Loop Keeper abandons its post.
The Spark ignites.
The Observer & The Rebel
But here’s the thing:
You can’t Drop if your don’t see The Loop.
That’s where The Observer comes in.
The Observer is your quiet witness.
It notices.
It’s aware of the TEARs, the Monarch’s grip, the Loop Keeper’s tricks.
It shows you the opening.
The Rebel is will.
It’s willing to do the risky, courageous, aligned thing.
It uses The Drop.
It takes bold action.
The Observer sees.
The Drop enables.
The Rebel moves.
Your work—learning to Drop.
Again and again.
Until freedom becomes familiar.
And purposeful action becomes the norm.
It's All Grounded in the Body
While this sounds psychological, it’s all rooted in the nervous system.
Enter through the body.
This is where most maps of the mind fail.
To cultivate the The Observer, practice The Drop, and activate The Rebel, we need to regulate the body.
This can include:
Acupuncture to reset your baseline
A shift in diet that clears the fog
Botanical medicines that nourish and support you from the inside out
Cold exposure or breath holds to strengthen your stress response
Strength training or mountain runs that rebuild your energy system
Simple disciplines that test boundaries and build resilience over time
This is what I do.
You can, too.
What This Is (and Isn’t)
This isn’t another self-help framework with a 10-step plan.
This is a field guide for waking up to your inner system—physical, mental, emotional, spiritual—and gently (or wildly) reclaiming your life from autopilot.
It’s science-backed.
It’s mythical.
It’s irreverent.
It’s practical.
And it’s not just personal.
The Monarch lives inside all of us
It also lives in our society.
When we’re fearful and tricked,
It will take over our institutions and systems.
We must liberate ourselves in here, in order to take courageous action out there.
The fight for personal freedom is the fight for collective freedom.
It’s time for a rebellion.
